Yin Q, CREATOR/writer & executive producer

Yin Q is a BDSM educator, ritualist, and creator/writer of Mercy Mistress. Her other works can be found in BUST, Chance Magazine, A Women's Thing, Afro-Asia, Apogee Journal, and various other online sites that promote sex positive, pro-feminist work.


Poppy Liu, actress & executive producer

Poppy is a classically trained, first generation, Chinese-American actress and the founder of the production company Collective Sex which has the mission of “decolonizing storytelling” by destigmatizing our stories around sex, body, intimacy and identity. Poppy is taking on the role of Mistress Yin in Mercy Mistress.

Amanda Madden, director & editor

Amanda is a filmmaker, artist, and emotional explorer. As the Creative Director of Multimedia for Collective Sex, she co-directed and edited the short film, Names of Women, has produced a collection of activist videos and is the director and editor for the upcoming web series, Mercy Mistress. Amanda is interested in stories about identity and relationships, community and connection and pursues bold storytelling that values authenticity, collaboration, and experimentation.


mel hsu, original score

Raised as a classical cellist, Mel Hsu has a deep and eternal love for the low frequencies of the bass clef. As a multi-instrumentalist, Mel composes and performs for film, theater, dance, poetry and epic neighborhood parades. She is honored to be composing and performing the score for Mercy Mistress.

chelsea downs, marketing & pr

Chelsea Downs is an entrepreneur, mom, and queer with passion and vision. Her career began with 6 years spent at Comedy Central with Viacom, various MTV networks and Nickelodeon, before the New York Toy Collective was born. A true social activist, Chelsea realized her dream to build New York Toy Collective, a global brand that celebrates sexuality, pleasure and humanity. Its compassion, sincerity and an undeniable respect for freedom is what drives Chelsea’s approach to business.

Samantha Panger, director of photography

Samantha is a New York based cinematographer. For seven years, she has been working as a camera technician on projects ranging from feature docs, such as Sean Dunne’s Cam Girlz to long format television, such as Warner Brother’s Gotham. Her work on short docs such as Well Groomed and Just the Muscle traveled through film festivals in the US and won Best Short at the Toronto Independent Film Festival. Her work with Collective Sex on the short Names of Women has also been on tour around the country, and in collegiate settings such as Colgate and Wesleyan.

zoraida ingles, graphic design

Zoraida is a brand and visual designer, passionate about bringing awareness to social causes. She plays with typography, color, and form, and loves bringing her experience as a woman of color, into her work. She is currently working on several creative projects as well as mastering reiki and other healing modalities.

d'arcy Jill rosie, WARDROBE & STYLING

By day, D'arcy Jill Rosie is a Vintage Clothing Dealer and Stylist, whose work and items have been featured on Masters of Sex, Halt and Catch Fire, and American Horror Story: Hotel. By night, she is a multi-faceted, lifestyle-based BDSM educator, facilitator and performer. In collaboration with her creative partner MarcusLikesIt, she serves as curator and host to several monthly immersive Kink events, and performs mesmerizing live rope shows (combining elements of Opera, Ballet and Bondage) throughout New York City's top burlesque and nightlife venues. A Los Angeles native, she now calls Flatbush, Brooklyn home.


liana qin, makeup

Liana Qin is a passionate makeup artist with a BS degree in Cosmetics and Fragrance Marketing from Fashion Institute of Technology. Her sense of art comes alive when creating makeup looks. In Mercy Mistress, her role as a makeup artist is to design and apply makeup according to the character to aesthetically enhance the performer.


Marci Mudd, Production Designer

Marci is a New York based Production Designer and Art Director.  Her most recent work includes production design of the webseries, Unicornland and art direction of Spike Lee’s new feature 311.  She is proud to be a part of Mercy Mistress and to be working alongside so many amazing women in film.
